Winter Sunday Mood...

Clear sky, clear air, clear light, a perfect frame for mind tripping…:
While most of us have moments of loving freely and openly, it is often hard to sustain this where it matters most-in our intimate relationships. Why, if love is so great and powerful, are human relationships so challenging and difficult? If love is the source of happiness and joy, why is it so hard to open to it fully and let it govern our lives?
Everybody knows perfect love inside their heart, because human heart is the only channel to spread love around us. But human relationships are an imperfect expression of that love. This cause a painful gap between perfect love of our heart and the imperfect and incomplete way we use to express in our relationships. Well, we balance between: “Perfect Love, Imperfect Relationships”.

        Doubts, doubts and… Doubts again.
Why? I ask to myself. Why so much time spent in personal introspections... who knows?
Do you know the proverb: “the more you get, the more want”? Well, I realised is not only f…ing true but also more complicated than I supposed. If I look at this as good incentive of personal development and improvement, others consider it just a synonymous of sense of dissatisfaction, and maybe their right. Maybe, if you only focuse on something you don’t have, you risk to lose what you have!
This is unconsciousness and unconsciousness can guide you to madness and, as LKJ used to say, madness a badness, seen!
So, I need niceness, calm and tranquillity. A period to think over, to reflect on… What? Sure…?!? Oops!

All of that make think about time, distance and feelings.
I believe that when we feel alone or we believe to be alone that’s because we are looking to things from a wrong point of view; we often look around us searching our self without looking into our self.
We look for our friends and them friendship, as manifestation of joy and fraternity, forgetting that what we are looking for something we can’t find out there.
Feelings, sensation, values and so on, has nothing to do with material things so, why look for something we already have …?
Better look, better life!

As true as what an Italian proverb says in April everyone got sweet sleeps
Yes of course, what terrorize me, in fact, is not sleeping but waking up…
The morning of the April 15th , when I woke up, I realized my country is going in the opposite direction where I’d like it go.
Most part of Italian citizens thinks and believes in things and persons I consider far far away from myself, from my way of thinking and acting, far from my "consciousness".
So, as an old Chinese proverb says: “sit down along the river and wait, soon or late you will see the corpse of your enemy flow", we offer you a deep roots reggae selection to stand firm, try to be untouchables and…wait!

It was on September 2006, we were in New York, chilling out, hanging out, looking for tunes… of course!
We read somewhere that in Brooklyn were a shop specialised in reggae videos and vinyls. We went there and we found the unexpected, the Keeling Beckford Shop.
Keeling aka ShortMan, a person unknown to the masses and to us too…, is a strange and funny person but also one of the biggest Reggae Videos Producer, a leader in this kind of business ( http://www.keelingreggae.com/ ).
When we got in his old and dusty shop we had a delightful feeling, just like the time was stopped at the eighties; in it we found several eighties wicked tunes keeping, among tons of vinyls, Kneeling record too!
So, at the end of the day, spent in the shop selecting tune after tune, knowing eachother, we back home with Keeling still chatting about…things & time, You Know!
We now present you here a little part of the tunes found out that day.
Giving respect to Kneeling we would say: stay tuned, the eighties sound is back again!

"Here we are". Or rather: "here it is".
This is the first official SuperApe's selecta published on internet.
A selection of deep roots records composed essentially for two reason:
First because we have big respect and a weak for the Foundation and we believe that only a good knowledge of it gives the chance to appreciate the sound and the message of all reggae music broadly.
Second because we want to make a special dedication to BMC (www.bmc.podomatic.com) that gave us the right inspiration to start this new experience, from private selectas to public podcast.
BMC started his podcast with a superb selection of nyabinghi style that we wuold like to return with this straight collection of roots vibes.

So, have a great half an hour with:
1) Mystic - Forward With Jah Orthodox - 7” - Upsetter (B Side)
2) Gatherers - Words Of My Mouth - 7” - Upsetter
3) Prince Jazzbo - Imperial I - Pepper Rock LP - Studio One
4) Ronnie Davis - Jah Jah Dread - 10” - King General
5) Junior Ross & The Spears - Liberty - 7” - Stars
6) Aisha Morrison - Dub to Ethiopia - 7” - Upsetter
7) Triston Palma - How Can A Man Be Happy - 10” - Trojan
8) Mykal Rose - Born Free - King Jammy In Roots LP - Auralux
9) Naggo Morris - Su Su Pon Rasta - 7” - Gibbs
10) Linval Thompson - Jah Jah Dreader Than Dread - Six Baylon LP - ClockTower
